    Director

    Catherine Boyd

I am Catherine Boyd, the Museum Administrator for the Crater Rock Museum, the newest member to the Chamber Board.
I attended my first board meeting with everyone at Mateos in March. I am very excited to get the museum more involved with the City and the Chamber.

I feel Crater Rock Museum is one of Central Points best kept secrets. I say that because it is amazing to me how many local people have never been to the museum or even heard of it. My first trip to the Museum was in 2002 when I was taking a geology class at RCC with Charles Rogers, who is the currently our senior Director at the museum. It was after that experience that I decide to pursue a degree in Geology. I went on to SOU and my involvement with the geology club at the university led me back to my involvement with the museum in 2004. When I completed my degree, I heard the museum was hiring an Administrator, so I went for the job and lucky me here I am.

I love working at the museum and its a great time to be here with the museums building expansion. I really think the Museum has a great future and is one of Central Points Gems.
