7th Annual Dog Walk Dogs for the Deaf's annual fund raiser, Dog Walk, is scheduled for May 31 at Hawthorne Park in Medford. This is a fun, family day with lots of activities including agility demonstrations, complimentary continential breakfast and hot dog lunch, contests, entertainment, raffles, and a silent auction. Great prizes will be awared to those raising the most in donations. The highlight of the day is a three mile walk from Hawthorne Park to Bearcreek Park and back along the Bear Creek Greenway. New this year, The American Humane Association's 82' long Emergency Rig will be on hand for viewing. This is the rig they take to national emergencies to help take care of the animals on the scene. It is interesting and educational. To register for Dog Walk, call 826-9220 or stop by Grange Co Op Pet Country or Mini Pet Mart. Don't miss this fun day, and thank you to all the Central Point businesses who are supporting this event.
